A Relationship can be set up between records in the Volunteer database. For example, Volunteer records can have a "Relationship" set up between a husband and wife's JOINT record, and the wife's volunteer record, when they BOTH are volunteers. The JOINT record will be used to document the husband's volunteer activity and a new record will be created in the Volunteer Dashboard for the wife's volunteer activity. To begin this process, create the relationships in the Relationship Type Validation table. See more information here.
Enter a Description and Reciprocal Description in the Relationship Type Validation Table. In the example below, the Description is "Husband" and the Reciprocal Description is "Wife".
In the wife's Volunteer record, create a Relationship to the husband's record by clicking Add in the Relationship tab.
